“For sale is a Japanese hand carved signed ICHII (yew wood) NOH OKINA mask in good displayable condition. The Japanese traditional carving technic "ICHII-ITTO-BORI" uses only chisels to cut the ICHII (yew wood). After the OKINA mask was carved using only chisels, it was aged and a traditional shellac was applied. The hand carved ICHII (yew wood) mask may have a small nick(s), mark(s), scuff(s), wear, dust, etc.. The Japanese mask artisan RYOSUKE etched his name into the back of the wood OKINA mask. The Japanese signed OKINA mask is about 27.5cm (10 13/16") long and 14cm (5 1/2") wide. The photos are accurate.”
